The Board send you all best wishes for the new year and with 2025, we would like to continue the monthly e-Newsletter by looking back on November and December 2024 that were two quite busy months.

Your continued support is important for ICOM MUSIC, and so we take the opportunity to remind you to please update your membership for 2025! Log in to the ICOM Database to see and update your membership information. If you have questions regarding your ICOM membership, please contact your National Committee.

As already announced on 6 November 2024, and as many of you are aware, during the CIMCIM Annual Business Meeting 2024, CIMCIM voted, in line with ICOM recommendations, to successfully update its International Committee acronym to the short name ICOM MUSIC. Documents related to the 2024 survey and vote for ICOM CIMCIM to become ICOM MUSIC were sent to ICOM’s Secretariat on 19 November 2024. In December 2024, the ICOM Executive Board voted to approve this change along with other IC acronym revisions (see https://icom.museum/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/EB174_Decisions_2_3December2024_Published.pdf ). ICOM MUSIC will participate with the other ICs in the rollout of the new branding with ICOM’s support and timeline, to be presented officially at the ICOM Triennale in Dubai 2025.
