Dear CIMCIM community,

The CIMCIM Board was pleased to see you at the online CIMCIM Business Meeting on Thursday, 5 October 2023. The minutes of the Business Meeting will be published in the CIMCIM Bulletin and on CIMCIM’s website.   

Other ongoing CIMCIM activities during October 2023 include:

1 October: Submitted to the ICOM secretariat the requested summary of CIMCIM IC profile for workshops planned for Dubai 2025.

5 October: Provenance and Ukraine: Denys Vasyliev’s 2023 CIMCIM Annual Conference video statement posted to CIMCIM’s website & Facebook accounts, and shared with ICOM IC Spokesperson, Chair of the Advisory Council, and ETHCOM.

5 October: CIMCIM Business Meeting 2023 (online).

10 October: Executive Board meeting (online).

11-13 October: Improved CIMCIM website structure, including menu selections for “About CIMCIM”, “Who we are”, “What We Do”, and added a new menu for “History”, including a single page for both upcoming and past Meeting and Conferences.

The scarcely used section “Jobs and internships” has been put offline. A new menu item “Stay connected” has appeared: This is the CIMCIM-L page, which previously was not very visible under “Resources”. The “Publications” page has been reorganised for a better navigation experience.

11-13 October: Updated website with 2024 CIMCIM Mexico annual meeting, recent past Presidents and Board members, and archived Communications Working Group.

31 October: CIMCIM’s reply* to the revision of the ICOM Code of Ethics for Museums submitted to ETHCOM (* CIMCIM’s membership had no comments on the outline text proposed by ETHCOM).
