ICOM’s annual International Museum Day took place on 18 May and as earlier announced, the CIMCIM Board would like to include your “Museum, Sustainability and Well-being” activities in CIMCIM’s annual report 2023 for ICOM.
Please, send your brief reports (max. 100 words) – photos most welcome! – about the on-site and/or online events, you planned for the day to the CIMCIM Secretary at firstname.lastname@example.org by Tuesday, 20 June 2023.

23 May: CIMCIM assigned voting members for ICOM’s Extraordinary General Assembly and 38th General Assembly on Friday, 9 June 2023*: Christian Breternitz, Christina Linsenmeyer, Emanuele Marconi, and Marie Martens. (30 May: ICOM officially opened voting for the assigned members. The ICOM vote relates to CIMCIM’s DEIA strategy and will be on: “(i) the introduction of a fifth category of countries, and (ii) the adoption of degressive membership fees for institutional members according to country category, to the ICOM fee policy for 2024. We hope that these measures will lead to increased diversity in our membership, in line with the objectives of the Strategic Plan 2022-2028”.

25 May: CIMCIM’s first DOIs obtained for CIMCIM annual Proceedings 2019–2025
30 May: Board vote distributed for 2024 annual meeting location
30 May: Announcement of the new Bulletin Editorial Board to the Board

* The invitations to ICOM’s Extraordinary General Assembly and 38th General Assembly on Friday, 9 June 2023 have been sent to ICOM members in good standing: ICOM members can watch the meeting live via webcast (the link to access it will be available to you in due course). The meeting will be recorded for archives and documentation purposes and the recording will also be available for members to watch for a limited time after the meeting has taken place. Due to technical constraints, English will be the main language used during the meeting and simultaneous interpretation in French and Spanish will be provided throughout the meeting.
The CIMCIM Board will meet every month, and if you have matters that you would like the Board to take up, please let us know.
