Dear ICOM MUSIC Community,

As the year comes to a close, we have our final issue of ICOM MUSIC News for 2025. Even though the year is winding down, ICOM MUSIC has not, and a lot has happened over the past two months, including the final session of the SAREC-funded “Bi-lingual Documentation and Outreach: Expanding ICOM MUSIC’s LAC Impact” project, the General Assembly, and the election of our new Executive and Ordinary Board. Thank you to all our members who ran for the Board and congratulations to the newly elected Board members.

We are happy to announce the new Board members for the 2026-2028 term.
Executive Board: Chair Marie Martens (Denmark), Vice-Chair Emanuele Marconi
(Germany), Secretary Sarah Deters (UK), and Treasurer Christian Breternitz (Germany).
The Ordinary Board: Sebastian Kirsch (Austria), Jimena Palacios Uribe (Mexico), Iris Verena Barth (Norway), Saskia Willaert (Belgium), Esther Kabalanyana Banda (Zambia), Sabari Christian Dao (Burkina Faso), Sara Kariman (Iran), and Pascale Vandervellen (Belgium).

During the General Assembly the By-Law revisions was passed by a vote of 96%.
