Time flies, and it’s time for the recurring news from the CIMCIM Board. Ongoing activities in March 2024 include:

8 March: CIMCIM 2023 Netherlands Proceedings, editorial team meeting (online)

11 March: CIMCIM 2024 Annual Meeting in México, Scientific Committee meeting (online)

11 March: Announcement of International Museum Day 2024. This year, 18 May will focus on the topic “Museums for Education and Research”

12 March: The March Board meeting time slot was allocated to CIMCIM’s groups and activities (WGs, Provenance, Sustainability, DEIA, The Conservation Group, the Bulletin, etc.)

13 March: CIMCIM Conservation Interest Group Meeting (online)

15 March: ICOM 7th ICWG Forum, CIMCIM’s Chair presented CIMCIM’s Strategic Plan and activities (online)

15 March: Circulation of Costantino Mastroprimiano, Professor at the Conservatory of Music “F. Morlacchi”, Perugia, petition (Rome, 9 March 2024) at member request in support of the National Musical Instrument Museum, Rome regarding the Italian Cultural Minister’s “Amendments to the ministerial decree of 23 December 2014, containing “Organisation and functioning of state museums” (Signed UDCM / 9 Feb. 2024 / Decree 53)

19 March: “CIMCIM February 2024 News” message

21 March: Online meeting for strategic discussion (Executive Board representative with ICOM-Italy member) on the Italian Cultural Minister’s “Amendments to the ministerial decree of 23 December 2014, containing “Organisation and functioning of state museums” (Signed UDCM / 9 Feb. 2024 / Decree 53)

22 March: Reminder for 2024 annual meeting travel grants deadline (closed 2 April 2024)

25 March: Planning meeting for Annual Meeting CIMCIM 2024 (México) of CIMCIM Chair and Conference Chair (online)
